Immune Supporting Lemon Ginger Tea

 2 medium pieces of fresh ginger
 6 cups water
 ½ lemon
 3 tbsp honey
 2 servings of black tea (loose leaf or 2 tea bags) - (optional)

Bring a pot of water to a boil.

Skin, thinly slice and add ginger to boiling water. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 30+ minutes. Keep water/ginger covered with a lid. The longer you simmer, the stronger/more effective the ginger will be.

Once boiling is complete, add juice of lemon and sweeten with honey. You can optionally steep black tea bags in the pot for additional flavour.

Strain the tea/ ginger and drink warm. Store remaining tea in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat a portion each day to enjoy warm.
